A year ago this weekend Jaden Dottin earned his Penn State scholarship offer. Today he announced his verbal commitment to the Nittany Lions while on an official visit to campus.
Dottin earned his offer in June of 2018 following a standout camp performance. He returned to Happy Valley the following month for another camp, and the annual Lasch Bash, and again in November for the Lions' 38-3 thumping of Maryland. He was back once again in March 2019 for a spring practice visit, and as mentioned is taking his official visit this weekend.

From the moment he was offered, Dottin was seen as a heavy Nittany Lion lean. His other major offers were from Michigan, Purdue, Duke, and Boston College. Ohio State and Clemson had also shown interest in the big receiver.
Dottin is the second receiver to join the 2020 class, and the 11th member overall. He joins JUCO prospect Norval Black who was offered at camp earlier this month and committed on the spot. The Lions are likely to take at least three commits at receiver this year, with players like Parker Washington and KeAndre Lambert ones to keep in mind. There's also that five-star prospect up the road that James Franklin will keep an eye on.
Penn State's 2020 recruiting class now sits at No. 20th nationally.
