New offers

Three-star safety Jaiden Francois tweeted out that he has received a Penn State offer. A Florida native, he's the 26th ranked safety in the class of 2020. He is currently committed to Miami.

Speaking of Miami safety commits, Penn State has offered four-star safety Keshawn Washington. The 2020 prospect is the 44th ranked player in Florida and has been committed to the Hurricanes since late July.

It's been a whirlwind of a week for 2021 running back Thaddius Franklin Jr. The Florida native picked up a Nittany Lion offer last Saturday, a Miami offer on Monday, a Mississippi State offer on Tuesday, and committed to the 'Canes on Wednesday. He's quickly become one of the most sought-after prospects in his class.

In the staff's continuous quest to build a recruiting footprint on the west coast, Penn State has offered 2020 Washington running back Sam Adams II. Standing at 6'2/200, the three-star prospect would be one of the largest running backs to play for Franklin. He's the son of former NFL defensive tackle Sam Adams.

The Nittany Lions are making a run at one of the top players in Big Ten country, offering Illinois native Antonio Johnson. A four-star safety, he's the 12th ranked player at his position and the number three player in Illinois. At 6'2/185, he could have a future as an outside linebacker.

Penn State extended an offer to 2021 cornerback Tony Grimes. Grimes is the top corner in his class and the number one player in Virginia. The Nittany Lions have landed the top player in Virginia in the past two classes.

Richards coming up for the weekend

One of the staff's most desired players in the 2019 class, Mark-Antony Richards, will make the trip up to State College from Florida this weekend. A four-star running back, Richards has never been to Happy Valley but does have some familiarity with staff, Ja'Juan Seider recruited him while still at Florida
