Penn State makes Thompson's top schools
Four-star safety Jerrin Thompson has put the Nittany Lions in his top eight schools. James Franklin and Co. will have to beat out some schools a bit closer to home if they hope to land Thompson, as the Nittany Lions are the lone northern team to make his list. The Texas native is currently the 18th ranked safety in the 2020 class and No. 35 prospect in the talent-rich Lone Star State.

Tony grimes' top schools
The Nittany Lions have made the first round of cuts for 2021 cornerback Tony Grimes. The top cornerback in his class, the Virginia native is looked at as one of the staff's top priorities. It's still far too early to tell where he will end up, but Penn State has had a lot of success in Virginia lately, landing the state's top player in each of the past two classes.
Four-star running back Reggie Love scored a Penn State offer earlier this week. The St. Louis native is the No. 25 running back in the class of 2020 and the fourth-ranked player in Missouri.
Penn State has extended an offer to 2022 defensive back William Johnson. Like all prospects his class, Johnson does not yet have a 247 Composite rating. However, the high school freshman already boasts an impressive offer list, including his hometown Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans.
