Dawkins Commits

2020 three-star offensive guard Nicholas Dawkins committed to the Nittany Lions while on campus Monday.

The son of former NBA star Darryl Dawkins, the younger Dawkins has a great athletic base. He has a hell of a mean streak and finishes blocks into the dirt. He moves extremely well out in space. With this commitment, Penn State is likely done with their interior recruiting and will shift their focus to their offensive tackle targets which include Aaryn Parks, Michael Carmody, Olu Fashanu, amongst others.

Issues in the Keystone?

Speaking of Carmody, his recruitment has appeared to have taken a twist in his recruitment, along with a couple other Pennsylvania stars in Kyle McCord and Marvin Harrison Jr.

All three are top-end talents and all three have been trending to Ohio State on the 247 Crystal Ball in recent weeks following spring visits. While Harrison has never showed any drastic interest in Penn State, and could very well be a bit over-hyped due to his family lineage, the other two are absolutely top targets for the Penn State staff.

While important recruits, both would be manageable losses. As a 2021 quarterback, Penn State would plenty of time to evaluate more arms and find their guy. As for Carmody, the Nittany Lions are in on plenty of other great offensive tackle recruits. While Carmody may be the best of the group and the top target, Aaryn Parks and Olu Fashanu are no slouches themselves.

Offers

Penn State went down to Ja'Juan Seider's old stomping grounds to offer 2020 four-star running back Keyvone Lee. At 6-0/223 pounds, Lee is already a tank. At this time last year no one believed Noah Cain would land at Penn State, and Seider is a superstar recruiter, so this one could turn out to be one to watch down the road.

The Lions continued their run in Florida, offering 2020 three-star defensive tackle Clyde Pinder Jr.

It appears Franklin isn't quite done invading Pittsburgh yet. #51to6 #NeverForget. He offered 2020 three-star defensive tackle Dayon Hayes.
