First Official Visitor
Penn State has recruited one position better than any other: running back. They hosted four-star Keyvone Lee over the weekend on an official visit.
Penn State only offered Lee a couple weeks ago, so the quick turnaround on setting up an official visit has to be a good sign for the Nittany Lions. Given Lee's Florida roots, we can surely thank Ja'Juan Seider for getting this one in motion. He is once again proving to be one of the two or three best hires Franklin has made in his tenure at Penn State, if not his entire head coaching career. Given the negative trend between Penn State and their other top targets at running back, Lee could quickly find himself at the top of the target board. At this time last year, no one thought Noah Cain would actually end up at Penn State, so it would be foolish to rule out Seider & Co.
Key(stone) Prospect Visits
One of Penn State's top overall targets in the 2020 class, four-star offensive tackle Michael Carmody made it back to campus this weekend.
The visit was much-needed for Penn State to get some momentum back in their corner. After a couple visits to Ohio State, it had appeared Carmody was trending heavily toward the Buckeyes as they pulled even with Penn State in Crystal Balls. One must understand how important it is that Carmody made it a priority to get back to Happy Valley.
Under Armour Camp
A few key recruits put in work over the weekend at a Under Armour camp in Baltimore, MD.
- 2020 four-star linebacker commit Curtis Jacobs
- 2021 four-star wide receiver commit Dont'e Thornton
- 2020 four-star wide receiver target KeAndre Lambert
- 2021 four-star offensive tackle target Landon Tengwall (this young man is an absolute unit).
