With two camps on tap this weekend, it's shaping up to a be a big weekend on the recruiting trail. After a week full of bad news, the tide could finally be starting to turn.
Official visits scheduled
Penn State will welcome four-star safety Jordan Morant to town this weekend for an official visit. The New Jersey native recently put the Nittany Lions in his top five schools. The No. 10 safety in his class, and No. 5 player in the Garden State, Morant isn't scheduled to commit for quite some time, with a decision date set for January 4.
Also coming to Happy Valley on an official visit is four-star wide receiver A.J. Henning. The Illinois native is the top player in the Land of Lincoln, and a high priority prospect for the Nittany Lions after losing out on Julian Fleming. He's been on the road quite a bit so far this summer takin advantage of the early official visit window. He's already hit Georgia and Notre Dame the past the previous two weekends, and is scheduled to visit Michigan next weekend.
Lions make Royer's top six
Three-star tight end Joe Royer has narrowed down his list of schools to just six, with the Nittany Lions making the cut. They are joined by LSU, Arizona State, Michigan, Ohio State, and Wisconsin. If Penn State were to land Royer, he would be the third player from the Cincinnati area on the roster, joining Sean Clifford and Aeneas Hawkins.

Penn State continues to go international, offering 2022 German defensive end Maurice Heims. At 6'5/235, Heims looks the part of a future college star. With already one German-born signee on the way in, Heims could be the next step to building a European pipeline and exposing the Nittany Lions to some new talent in a very unlikely place.

The Nittany Lions stay a bit closer to home on this one, offering Harrisburg defensive tackle Fatorma Mulbah. A three-star prospect, Mulbah impressed while on campus for a camp last weekend. The Nittany Lions are his biggest offer to date.
