With a nearly month-long dead period set to begin on Monday, this weekend is the last chance for awhile for players to get on campus and check out football programs. Penn State is set to host a number of players over the next few days and has already entertained two prospects this week.
Three-star cornerback Joseph Johnson III visited Thursday from Virginia. The No. 33 corner in the 2020 class, Johnson is expected to commit on July 2, so getting him on campus has to be a good sign.
Three-star Texas wide receiver Parker Washington made his official visit on Tuesday, fresh off an official to Wisconsin. His other offers include Utah, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Indiana, and Houston. Washington gave fans a unique look inside an official visit at Penn State with this video:
Four-star wide receiver Jaquavion Fraziars will also be on campus. A four-star prospect, the Florida native is currently committed to his hometown Gators, but the Nittany Lions have had some recent success when it comes to convincing Florida receivers to come north.
Defensive end Brandon Taylor will make the drive over from Ohio for an official visit. A three-star prospect, Taylor was most recently on campus for an unofficial visit in March.
Four-star prospect Enzo Jennings will also be in Happy Valley. The Michigan native and top-100 prospect is looked at as a heavy Penn State lean and may just be the staff's top priority right now. Landing him would be a huge win in what has been a rough few weeks for the 2020 class.
We roll on with three-star DE Mordecai McDaniel from DC powerhouse St. John's College High School. McDaniel last visited State College a year ago for the 2018 White Out camp.

And finally we come to four-star defensive lineman Coziah Izzard from DeMatha. Izzard has been high on the Lions for a while and the Lions high on him. This weekend could go a long way to sealing the deal for the DMV prospect.

Berger's top 10
Four-star running back Jalen Berger has put the Nittany Lions in his top 10, along with some of the top programs in the country. He's the top player in New Jersey and the No. 54 player overall in the 2020 class. Running back isn't exactly a top priority after taking two in the 2019 class, but Berger is a guy you make room for.

Rivals has released their top 100 prospects for the 2021 class, with a few names that may sound familiar making the list. Penn State's lone commit in the class, WR Dont'e Thornton, checks in at No. 48. Pennsylvania has two players in the top-30, with Philadelphia quarterback and Ohio State commit Kyle McCord checking in at No. 9, and Lititz-based offensive tackle, and Nittany Lion legacy Nolan Rucci at No. 28.
Some other noteworthy names:
- No. 15 - QB Caleb Williams, Washington D.C.
- No. 51 - RB Evan Pryor, Cornelius, NC
- No. 59 - OT Landon Tengwall, Olney, MD
- No. 68 - WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Philadelphia, PA
- No. 70 - DT Elliot Donald, Pittsburgh, PA

The Nittany Lions have offered 2021 running back KeyShawn Spencer. The three-star back committed to Florida State back in March.
Inside linebacker Kobe King also scored a Penn State this week. A Detroit native, King is looked at as a three-star prospect and the No.15 ILB in the 2021 class.
