The recruiting gods giveth and the recruiting gods taketh away. Following three high-profile defections earlier this month, James Franklin and his staff seemed to be on a bit of a roll after three weekend pledges. That all changed when Derek Wingo, a four-star linebacker from Florida decommitted Saturday and pledged to the University of Florida.
This is the weirdest month of recruiting I can ever remember. Wingo was the original member and second-highest ranked prospect in Penn State's 2020 class. He committed on Christmas Day 2018.
