James Franklin's rollercoaster of June recruiting continued its upward trend on Thursday, as Michigan native and top-100 prospect Enzo Jennings committed to Penn State. 247Sports ranks him as an athlete, but he is viewed as a safety by the Nittany Lion coaching staff.
Jennings took his official visit with the Nittany Lions just last weekend. He is now the sixth prospect to pledge to Franklin in the last seven days, and ninth this month.

Currently the top-ranked prospect in PSU's 2020 class, Jennings reported offers from blue-blood programs across the country including Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Clemson, Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. His four finalists were Penn State, Notre Dame, Kentucky, and Pitt.
Jennings stars as a wide receiver and defensive back for Oak Park High School in the Metro Detroit Area. He was invited to the Opening Finals, the nation's top elite skills camp, held in Frisco, TX, the last weekend in June.
His commitment comes at the right time for Franklin, who saw some serious talent defect from his 2020 class over the last six weeks. The Nittany Lions move up to 15th nationally, and third in the Big Ten, in the 247Sports Team Rankings with 14 prospects.
