Following an impressive camp showing and visit for the Lasch Bash, 2021 three-star tight end Nick Elksnis (Jacksonville, FL) has committed to Penn State.

James Franklin and staff offered Elksnis in April of this year, and he visited Happy Valley for the first time last weekend.

The Florida prospect has seen his recruitment explode in 2019 with offers from Ohio State, Miami, Michigan, Florida State, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Mississippi State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Wake Forest.
In an interview with Lions247, Elksnis sited his relationship with Penn State tight end coach Tyler Bowen, the school tradition and fan base, and use of tight ends as major reasons for his commitment.
Elksnis is just the second member of Franklin's 2021 class, joining wide receiver Dont'e Thornton. The class now ranks 15th nationally in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
