The worst kept secret in Penn State's 2020 recruiting class is official. Three-star guard prospect RJ Adams confirmed to 247Sports that he is no longer committed to Penn State. Adams had just visited Happy Valley for the Buffalo game, but followed that up with an official visit to Kentucky the following week.
The No. 357 player in his class, Adams originally committed to Penn State back in April, but had been expressing interest in NC State and Miami, among others. Since then, he has seen his list of suitors grow to include the likes of the aforementioned Wildcats, as well as Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, and Mississippi State.
Adams' commitment appeared shaky for some time, as he has been open about wanting to take visits as his list of offers grew. According to 247Sports, he has no timetable for a new decision.
The Nittany Lions class stays at No. 14 nationally and third in the Big Ten.
