Four-star tight end Theo Johnson has set a commitment date. The 2020 prospect and top player remaining on Penn State's big board will make his college decision on Nov. 18, exactly one month before the first National Signing Day.
The Nittany Lions are looked at as the favorite to land the talented Johnson, the top player in Canada and No. 3 tight end in his class. He's been on campus five times this calendar year, including twice this football season. He was on hand for the Nittany Lions' beatdown of Buffalo and for the White Out win over Michigan.
Johnson could be an instant impact for the Nittany Lions, as they are guaranteed to lose at least one tight end, Nick Bowers, at the end of the season. Should Pat Freiermuth opt to leave early, Johnson could have a huge shot at early playing time.
