Fresh off of summer camps, including the prestigious Opening Finals, 247Sports has updated their rankings of the top 247 players in the 2020 recruiting class. A trio of Nittany Lion commits are included, as are a number of targets.

LB Curtis Jacobs (Owings Mills, MD)

Jacobs is undoubtedly the headliner in Penn State's 2020 class. His No. 68 ranking is unchanged from 247's last update, but his No. 85 composite ranking is up over 70 spots from when he committed to Penn State in early-February. It would not be a shock to see a that number continue to climb with a solid senior season.

S Enzo Jennings (Oak Park, MI)

One of a handful of players to commit to Penn State during a busy stretch in late-June and early-July, Jennings saw his ranking slide just three spots from 144 to 147. His composite ranking has him just outside of the top-100 at No. 102.

DT Cole Brevard (Carmel, IN)

Brevard is Penn State's top-ranked defensive line prospect, and the third highest prospect overall. His 247 ranking slid ever so slightly back to No. 213 from No. 208. His composite score has him just outside the top-150 at No. 159.

  • TE Theo Johnson (Windsor, Ontario) - Johnson saw a big rise from No. 243 to No. 75. His composite ranking jumped all the way up to No. 105. Penn State is looking to get him back on campus before a decision, which could come anytime this fall. He was last on campus in April for the Blue-White Game.
  • RB Keyvone Lee (Clearwater, FL) - Lee officially visited in April, and immediately moved Penn State into his top group. While still in the top-100 at No. 78, he did fall 22 spots. His  composite ranking sits at No. 180.
  • WR KeAndre Lambert (Norfolk, VA) - Penn State's top remaining uncommitted target at receiver is up 53 spots to No. 121. He checks in at No. 182 in the composite rankings.
  • RB Caziah Holmes (Cocoa, FL) - Another Florida target, Holmes is eyeing a decision next month on August 9. He slid from No. 137 to No. 175 in  the latest update, and is No. 207 in the composite.
  • RB Jalen Berger (Jersey City, NJ) - One of the quieter prospects in the class, Berger took a tumble from No. 62 to No. 188, but remains in the top-100 at No. 94 in the composite.
  • S Makari Paige (West Bloomfield, MI) - A high school teammate of current freshman Lance Dixon, Paige is down to the Nittany Lions, Michigan, Kentucky, and Ohio State. He jumped one spot to No. 201, and No. 242 in the composite.
