After another win over the rival Pittsburgh Panthers, Penn State picked up a victory of a different kind on Monday, grabbing a commitment from defensive end (and Pittsburgh-area native) Zuriah Fisher.
Though Fisher's commitment is great news for the folks in Happy Valley thanks to his skill as a football player, it's also big news because of where he is coming from. Aliquippa High School has long been a powerhouse in the state of Pennsylvania, but the Pittsburgh area specifically. It has been quite some time since the Nittany Lions have pulled a player from the program, and having a foot in the door there going forward is a big deal.

Fisher has a strong offer list, which aside from Penn State includes Michigan State, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Maryland, Pitt, Nebraska, Syracuse, and Minnesota.
After first visiting back in late July, Fisher returned to Penn State this past weekend for an official visit to see the Nittany Lions deal the Panthers their third straight loss in the series.
Fisher pushes Penn State's 2020 class to 26 total members. The class as a whole ranks No. 14 in the country and No. 3 in the Big Ten.
