The Lehigh Valley has been kind to Penn State over the past half-decade. With names like Saquon Barkley and Jahan Dotson coming from the region, a new offensive weapon is coming in Sander Sahaydak is heading to Happy Valley from the 610.

Sahaydak has a canon for a left foot. We saw him hit from as far out as 62 yards with consistency this summer, something a lot of current college kickers can't regularly do. He's also hit from 50+ during games, which of course is very different from just kicking against air.
That booming leg also helps him boot the ball out of the endzone on kickoffs, something Penn State fans have become adjusted to seeing. Like most high school kickers, leg strength is one of the most important natural attributes since you can coach a lot of other things up as you go along.
Sahaydak will give Penn State three scholarship kickers for the 2021 season, so a redshirt is inevitable. He probably will get a kickoff or two to build up some confidence for 2022, but to expect more than that would be silly. He'll battle for both field goal and kickoff duties once Pinegar and Stout leave, but all signs point to him being the Nittany Lions' field goal kicker of the future.
