Tengwall returns

One of several five-stars that Penn State is very much in the running for, 2021 offensive tackle Landon Tengwall, was back on campus this past weekend. Being that he hasn't been to campus in a few weeks, he had yet to meet new offensive line coach Phil Trautwein. Given Trautwein's reputation for being a top-notch coach and and developer of talent, having that face-to-face time is huge to prove that Tengwall will have the opportunity to grow into an NFL player. Given his already strong relationships with the rest of the Penn State staff, a strong bond with his would-be future positional coach could go a long way in solidifying his commitment.

Hitting the road

Tengwall isn't the only five-star lineman on the Lions' radar. According to an article by Brian Linder at Penn Live, the coaches made their way to Warwick High School to visit Nolan Rucci and his high school coaches on Thursday.

I love him (Trautwein).

I really like the way he teaches the technique, and just watching him at Boston College teh past couple years, I was really impressed. Talking to him, he's a great person, a great dude, and I'm excited to get to know him more.

Penn State won't be the only school sending its coaches to the school. Notre Dame's Brian Kelly, Ohio State's Ryan Day, and Clemson's Dabo Swinney are all expected to drop in. That's quite the who's-who of college football head coaches.

Penn State has hit the road to several already-committed players as well. They traveled through Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. They visited offensive tackle Olu Fashanu, defensive tackle Coziah Izzard, linebacker Curtis Jacobs, offensive tackle Jimmy Christ, and tight end Tyler Warren.

Weekend Visitors

This feels like deja vu, but Penn State is hosting another superstar recruit this coming weekend, amongst others.
