On Wednesday, Penn State received good news for the future of the special teams unit in the form of a commitment from 2021 prospect Sander Sahaydak. Sahaydak is ranked as a five-star and the No. 1 kicker recruit in the country per Kohl's Kicking, the industry leader when it comes to specialist recruiting.
Though part of his lofty ranking is due to his accuracy and consistency, traits hard to find in high school kickers, his huge leg is what makes him such a tantalizing prospect. Above, you'll see him hitting a 53-yard field goal, in-game, with ease. Most kickers are able to kick long field goals on an empty field with no one rushing them, but doing it in a live game is completely different.
Sahaydak looks to be the heir apparent to Jake Pinegar and Jordan Stout, who will both be seniors by the time the Bethlehem, PA-native arrives on campus.
