Kiner to LSU
One of Penn State's top targets at the running back position throughout the 2021 cycle, Corey Kiner, announced his commitment to the national champion LSU Tigers.

Kiner's recruitment appeared to be staying up North with Cincinnati and Michigan in good spots in recent weeks, but a string of 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions for LSU leading up to his commitment date signified a drastic change. With Kiner off to the SEC and the lack of perceived pressure for some lower-ranked running backs by the Penn State staff, it appears they'll be fine prioritizing their absolute top targets and going boom-or-bust at the position. The biggest name left is high four-star and Michigan native, running back Donovan Edwards.
Top Schools, Top Recruits
Making the top list of schools for a recruit might not seem like much to the average fan, but it's often a necessary step if a school is to land a commitment down the road. Penn State has been working hard to earn pledges from some of the nation's top prospects, and the work it's putting in shows. James Franklin and his staff have the Lions near the top of the board for several more talented players, along with the commitments they already have.

As usual, the Lions were busy passing out new offers, as well.
