With recruiting visits shut down for the foreseeable future, four-star cornerback De'Jahn Warren (Lackawanna Community College) has updated his commitment timeline. After originally hoping to make a decision this summer, the top JUCO prospect in the nation is now looking to make a decision in December after taking four official visits, and after the Falcons wrap up their season.
I will be committing on December 14th— DeJahn Nugget Warren (@Ayoooo_daeee) May 18, 2020
Warren had anticipated taking his official visits this spring and summer, with an eye on a decision prior to beginning what will be his second season at Lackawanna this fall. With those plans officially quashed by the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent in-person recruiting ban, those visits will now happen in the fall. The first will take him up the road to Happy Valley on September 26, when the Lions are scheduled to host Northwestern in the Big Ten opener.
According to his 247Sports profile, Warren will make a November trip to Oklahoma before visiting Tennessee and Georgia in December, before his scheduled announcement on the 14th.
If the 247Sports Crystal Ball is any indication, the Nittany Lions are in a great spot for Warren. All five picks favor Penn State, including Penn State insider Sean Fitz, and national analyst Brian Dohn.
