Perhaps the top remaining target on the offensive line for Penn State, three-star offensive tackle Diego Pounds (Raleigh, NC), has set a commitment date. He will be making his announcement this coming Friday, September 25.

Pounds released a top-15 list in early-May, hoping to have an opportunity to take visits later in the year. With the NCAA recently extending its ban on in-person recruiting both on and off of college campuses, Pounds is now ready to make a decision.
It was widely thought to be Penn State and then everyone else for a number of months. However, a recent offer from in-state North Carolina certainly impacted things. Along with the Nittany Lions and Tar Heels, LSU and Auburn are Pounds' other finalists.
Penn State and Phil Trautwein offered Pounds in March of this year, getting in ahead of a spring rush that included the likes of Florida, Michigan, Alabama and Auburn. With visits shut down indefinitely, he has yet to visit Happy Valley, but Trautwein, James Frankln, and the rest of the Nittany Lion coaching staff have certainly made Pounds a priority along the offensive line.
Pounds holds all five 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions at this point, including lead experts Sean Fitz, Brian Doh, and Steve Wiltfong.
