With non-early National Signing Day for the 2021 recruiting class mere weeks away, the 2022 class is coming more and more into focus for Penn State and for the rest of the country. The Lions already have an impressive committed class of 2022 recruits (No. 2-ranked class in the country), but are far from done in the cycle.

It seems that each passing day lately brings another list of top schools from a high-profile player in the class that includes Penn State. Let's take a look at some of the names who have recently named the Lions among their favorites.

4* Running Back Terrance Gibbs

Thanks to the recruiting prowess of position coach Ja'Juan Seider and the recent success of Penn State running backs in the NFL, the Lions have the luxury of being choosy at the running back position. Gibbs is a name we haven't heard from as much when compared to Pennsylvania blue-chipper Nicholas Singleton and Virginia blue-chipper Tevin White, but he's a very talented back in his own right.

3* Cornerback Avery Powell

Powell hails from New Jersey powerhouse St. Peter's Prep. The Lions are constantly stacking talent in the cornerback, and Powell fits the bill. Standing at 5'10, he could potentially be someone they look at to play in the slot.

4* Defensive End Dante Anderson

Anderson is one of the top defensive ends in his class, ranking as the No. 8 weakside end among the 2022 class. This is surely another place that Seider's Florida connections have paid off, though Anderson will need to make it up to campus before becoming a real option.

4* OFfensive Guard Demon Moore

Moore, the Indiana native, included Penn State in his top schools on Thursday. The Lions have grabbed multiple true guards in recent classes with Nick Dawkins and Nate Bruce, but depth in the interior is something that the Lions will need going forward. Moore would be a nice addition.

Finally, a Tweet That Might Mean Something Or Nothing

Ken Talley is already shaping up to be a very fun dude. And if he's to be believed, a leader for the soon-to-be No. 1 class in the country.
