Penn State is one of the programs that benefits the most from hosting recruits for on-campus visits as the environment and culture of the campus and football program are a tremendous selling point. The pandemic took away that opportunity, and it showed throughout the 2021 cycle. The dead period officially ended on June 1, and Penn State has kicked off a busy month of visits. Here are some of the visitors confirmed from June 1st through the first weekend of June.

One of the Lions' highest-rated commits, Drew Shelton, actually already came up to visit campus on Tuesday for the first day of the dead period being lifted. That trip was the first chance for the Downingtown, PA-native to meet head coach James Franklin and offensive line coach Phil Trautwein face-to-face.

Both Kaden Saunders and Ken Talley, two of the most vocal commits in the 2022 class, will be up this weekend as well. The pair could be incredibly helpful as they try to sway the three key Penn State targets that will be on their official visits: Ryan Brubaker, Keon Sabb, and Kaytron Allen.

For the 2023 class, Ta'Mere Robinson is not only one of the premier prospects in Pennsylvania, but the entire country. He is an early top priority for the Nittany Lions due to location, talent, and positional need. Robinson checks all the boxes.

Sean Wilson and Raleigh Collins are both talented prospects that will only benefit from verifying measurables for the staff. Ali, Shakir, and Heard are a talented group of 2023 recruits and the staff will get a chance to make an early impression as their recruitments begin to take off with the dead period being lifted.

This list is only who RLR has been able to confirm as of now, so expect a few more names to be added to the list, which we will recap next week.

Very few coaches in the country can knock a visit out of the park quite like James Franklin can so Penn State fans, more than most, can be overjoyed that schools can finally host recruits again. The month of June will certainly lead to some fireworks.
