Coming out of the July dead period across college football Penn State wasted no time in shifting focus back to in-person recruiting.
The small group that made it to campus was headlined by one of the best quarterbacks in the 2024 Class, South Carolina's Jadyn Davis. There's no doubt that Mike Yurcich's presence continues to pay dividends with attracting the attention of the best quarterbacks in the country.
One of the best offensive linemen in the country in 2023, Findlay's (OH.) Luke Montgomery also made the trip to Happy Valley. Phil Trautwein's presence grows stronger with every passing day but he'll have his work cut out for him to land a talented player from Ohio that the Buckeyes also want.
Pennridge's (PA.) Phil Picciotti was another visitor on campus. Picciotti hails from the same high school as current Penn State defensive end Nick Tarburton and physically resembles the current Nittany Lion quite a bit.
After a great visit today, I am excited to announce that I received an offer from the PENN STATE Nittany Lions!! Thank you to @coachjfranklin and @CoachPry_LBU. My family and I enjoyed spending the day with you and the staff touring the facility and meeting players. #WeAre pic.twitter.com/HRv0caTA4D— Phil Picciotti (@PhilPicciotti) July 25, 2021
