The hustle and bustle of June, the first month of in-person recruiting since March of 2020, continues for every staff in the country. As the weekends go by, Penn State has been putting together some of the most impressive groups of recruits and could soon begin to see the fruits of their labor.
Given the past year, recruits who waited until now are going to take all of their planned visits so the instant gratification coming out of weekends with verbal commitments is extremely unlikely. With the visit window being so short, however, the fireworks can be expected come July. Let's take a look back at the recruits that made it to campus this weekend
- Drew Shelton*, OT, .9469 Composite Rating
- Tyler Johnson*, WR, N/a
- Gunner Givens, OT, .9466
- Omarion Hampton, RB, .9441
- Crisitan Driver, S, .9184
- Tyreese Fearbry, EDGE, .9072
- Anto Saka, EDGE, .8944
- Zane Durant, DL, .8934
- Keon Wylie, LB, .8678
- Andre Roye, OT, .8566

The Lions may have gotten a bit of clarity on one of this weekend's visitors, however. Safety Christian Driver was planning to head to Madison this coming weekend. However, the native-Texan, and son of former NFL wide receiver Donald Driver, announced a change in those plans.
Unfortunately Wisconsin has just notified me that they cannot get me up on campus this weekend. I will have to wait until September in order to visit now. With that being said, i will not be making a trip to the University of Wisconsin.— CD (@CristianDriver_) June 22, 2021
Driver, whose family is close to James Franklin from their time together with the Green Bay Packers, has two 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions in favor of the Nittany Lions.
