Four-Star 2023 Quarterback Marcus Stokes Commits to Penn State

Four-star 2023 quarterback Marcus Stokes has committed to Penn State, giving the Nittany Lions a blue-chip quarterback to help build their latest recruiting class.

Stokes received his Penn State offer in January while visiting for the program's Junior Day. A Florida native, Stokes returned to campus early this week for an unofficial visit and ultimately saw enough to commit to the Nittany Lions.

Penn State was Stokes' first Power Five offer and he's since received offers from Indiana, Virginia Tech, and Utah. He's also taken a slew of unofficial visits this spring - having visited Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, and Cincinnati.

A dual-threat signal-caller, Stokes led his team to a 9-4 record in 2021 while throwing for 2672 yards and 22 touchdowns. He added 496 yards and six more scores on the ground as well.

Penn State is now projected to have four scholarship quarterbacks on campus for the 2023 season, with all slated to have sophomore eligibility or younger.

Stokes is commit No. 9 for Penn State's 2023 class which now ranks fourth nationally and remains tops in the Big Ten.
