Shaquon Anderson-Butts, a three-star prospect out of Harrisburg, PA, and a Nittany Lion verbal commitment since July 2017, will not be signing with Penn State today. The talented wide receiver will instead be heading to Iowa Western Community College, a well known JUCO program.

Anderson-Butts, an athlete who was expected to play wide receiver or defensive back in Happy Valley, had been enamored with the Lions for multiple years before his commitment last summer. He also seemed to play a role in steering his Harrisburg High teammate and close friend, Micah Parsons, back to Penn State in December. However, troubles in the classroom have always been an issue with Anderson-Butts, a possible reason for opting to take the JUCO route. He had also considered Marshall, taking an official visit over the weekend.
With Anderson-Butts no longer part of the 2018 recruiting class, Penn State currently has 22 prospects signed during December's early period, and the No. 6 overall class. Rasheed Walker and Solomon Enis appear to be the lone remaining targets for this class. Both are expected to announce their decisions later today.
