Penn State redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Chance Sorrell announced today that his football playing career is over. In a post on Twitter, Sorrell cited injury problems as the reason.

Sorrell, a native of Ohio, originally came to Penn State as part of James Franklin's first recruiting class, the class of 2014. He was originally a Vanderbilt commit who followed Franklin when he came to Penn State.
According to Sorrell, he will remain with the football program as an intern on the strength and conditioning staff.
