Franklin: "We're confident that Damion (Barber) will be here". The four-star defensive end is still not with the program.

Barber was expected to arrive in State College at the end of July, but it has taken another couple weeks to get his academic situation sorted out. This tweet from Friday night would appear to show progress on him suiting up in blue and white.

The Harrisburg High standout committed to the Nittany Lions nearly a full year before National Signing Day in February 2016. Barber is already physically imposing, standing 6-3 and weighing 244 pounds. Finally getting him onto campus and into the strength and conditioning program should help him continue to thrive.
