Jason Cabinda is one of our absolute favorite Penn State players -- not just for his play on the field, but also for his humor, leadership, and social awareness. When he and Brandon Bell returned from injury last October, it was no surprise that Penn State's defense leveled up and became a worthy complement to the bananas PSU offense.
Cabinda's play hasn't gone unnoticed in Happy Valley, and he's gaining recognition on the national scene. PSU's man in the middle was just named to the Butkus Award watch list.

This is the fourth preseason watch list for Cabinda, who was previously named as a candidate for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, Bednarik Award, and Nagurski Trophy. Cabinda would be the third Nittany Lion to take home the award, joining LaVar Arrington (1999) and Paul Posluszny (2005)
