The Penn State Homecoming Committee announced this morning that the Grand Marshal of the 2017 ceremonies would be none other than former Penn State offensive lineman and current MIT doctoral student John Urschel.

Urschel, who played in the NFL for three years with the Baltimore Ravens, retired abruptly in July to focus on his studies in mathematics at MIT. He will return to Happy Valley for Homecoming activities on the weekend of November 10-12. This year's Homecoming game will take place on November 12 when the Lions take on Rutgers in Beaver Stadium.
