Oct 7, 2017; Evanston, IL, USA; Penn State Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin walks out with players tight end Mike Gesicki (88) and offensive lineman Brendan Mahon (70) and running back Josh McPhearson (39) before their football game against the Northwestern Wildcats at Ryan Field.

Penn State defeated Northwestern on Saturday 31-7 to push their record to 6-0 on the season. The Nittany Lions looked a bit sluggish to start the game and only led 10-0 at the half. The offense started to click in the second half, and PSU pulled away from the Widcats. With the bye week and the meat of the schedule approaching, there are things that Penn State must improve on. As always, James Franklin's twitter mentions never fail to offer some free advice.

Doug is not over a quote from a Coaches Caravan stop a few years back.

I would bet this was part of the pregame speech.

I can confirm that the suit coach Franklin wore in pregame was very sharp.

Fans are frustrated with the slow start and we're inching towards a fullback twee. I can feel it.

It's a run-pass option, not a delay so maybe he's not the only on that hasn't figured it out.

Saquon Barkley was bottled up early and even more suggestions were coming in.

An inferred fullback request, but I figured we would have a tweet that plainly requested it by this point in the game.

There are still many people who have not heard Joe Moorhead explain his offensive philosophy.

Wes is going to be really mad when he finds out that they throw passes to the backup quarterback.

There it is. MacGregor tweeted last week at coach, but added the Sports Illustrated cover as a bonus.

Davis has had a rough start, but this is hopefully correctable since he was super consistent last season.

Donald Driver once again showing his old coach love.

At 6-0, there are certainly questions, but this seems like a bit of a stretch.

Val, we all can agree on this.

On to the bye week, then a big one vs. Michigan.
