A sleepy start gave way to a serious thumping on Saturday afternoon, as Penn State pulled away from an overmatched Rutgers, 35-6.

Wins like this always feel odd. The Homecoming victory is great, right? Pounding down a Big Ten opponent who so desperately wants to belong? Great! Very little running room for Saquon Barkley, the Heisman Trophy front runner who is probably not the front runner now due to this tough three-game stretch? Not great! Trace McSorley becomes Penn State's all-time offensive touchdown record holder with 66 tuddies? Great! The offensive line continues to struuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggggggggggle? Not great!

Despite it all, Penn State stands at 8-2 with two games to play. Two road losses by a combined four points in a Big Ten that is wildly confusing. Anyway, let's get on to the social media reaction, the revelry and the silliness of another college football Saturday for your beloved Nittany Lions.
