With their win over Rutgers this past weekend, Penn State extended their current home winning streak to 13 games, 10th best in program history. Dating back to the start of the 2015 season, the Nittany Lions have now won 19 of their last 20 in Beaver Stadium.
It's an impressive run for James Franklin's team, with the last loss being a 28-16 defeat at the hands of the No. 14 Michigan Wolverines in late November of 2015. Since then, the Nittany Lions have plowed through their opponents while in Happy Valley.
During that stretch, Penn State has outscored its opponents by an average of 25.62 points per game, and has won by a margin of 20 points or more in nine of those games (including 7 of the previous 8). They have also held opponents to fewer than 20 points in ten of those 15 games.
The 2018 slate will provide plenty of roadblocks in the path of the streak, with Ohio State, Michigan State, Iowa, and Wisconsin all set to travel to State College.
With a sputtering Nebraska squad set to walk into Beaver Stadium next weekend for Senior Day, Penn State will look to push that winning streak to 14 games. That game will kick off at 4:00 pm E.T. on Saturday, November 18.
