Manny Bowen missed Penn State's game against Rutgers for an undisclosed reason. On Tuesday afternoon, James Franklin announced that Bowen was suspended for the game against the Scarlet Knights, and that the linebacking corps will be without his services for the second week in a row when the Nittany Lions host Nebraska this weekend.

Bowen has registered 36.5 tackles on the season, good for fourth on the team and second among the Nittany Lion linebackers. He has also accrued 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and forced a fumble during the 2017 campaign.

There is no word on whether Bowen will miss Penn State's season finale against Maryland or its bowl game.
