Isheem Young is no longer a member of Penn State's 2018 recruiting class, per Lions247. The four-star safety prospect was arrested and arraigned on counts of robbery, conspiracy, firearms violations, and related offenses. The charges stem from an investigation into a robbery that took place at a Wawa over the summer.
Word of Young, who committed to Penn State in July of 2017, being in custody came down on Friday afternoon. Young faced arraignment on Friday night, at which point the charges against him became public record.
Additionally, it was reported that he would not suit up in Imhotep Institute's state semifinal game on Friday night prior to word coming down about his arrest.
BREAKING: Imhotep football coach Nick Lincoln said star running back/defensive back Isheem Young a Penn State recruit will not play Friday night. He is out of the lineup for "personal reasons," but would not comment further. Follow @mowens125 for further updates.
