As winter workouts begin, Penn State has announced some updates to their roster for the upcoming season.

Position Changes:

Lamont Wade, CB to S - Wade played a decent amount as a true freshman but with John Reid coming back from injury and an already loaded corner room, Wade to safety makes sense. He should be able to grab one of the two starting spots.

Dae'Lun Darien, WR to LB- Darien was moved towards the end of last season to help build some depth at linebacker. With Manny Bowen and Jason Cabinda no longer around, Darien could be in for a bigger role at linebacker than he was going to get at receiver.

New Numbers:

Isaiah Humphries* - 2

Micah Parsons* - 11

Trent Gordon* - 19

Jesse Luketa* - 40

Dae'Lun Darien - 41

Nick Tarburton* - 46

C.J. Thorpe - 69 (nice)

Zack Kuntz* - 82

The big takeaway: Micah wearing Lavar Arrington's old number. Even with the hype, the freshman has some large shoulder pads to fill.
