The 2020 football schedule is complete, as Penn State on Monday rolled out the non-conference slate for two years from today.
Pitt is officially out of the picture for 2020, as the Nittany Lions added home contests against Nevada and San Jose State.
The Mountain West's Nevada Wolf Pack have the enviable duty of serving as the Lions' home opener on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020. San Jose State, also from the Mountain West, comes to town two weeks later on Sept. 19, 2020.
In between those massive matchups with Nevada and San Jose State? A ho-hum trip to Blacksburg on Sept. 12 for Penn State's first-ever game at Virginia Tech (just kidding, that's going to be an awesome one).
The Nittany Lions will open Big Ten Conference play against Northwestern at Beaver Stadium on Sept. 26, and they'll host Iowa and Ohio State back-to-back in October. Michigan, Indiana and Nebraska will be on the road, as will the mighty Rutgers.
Penn State also announced Monday that Bowling Green will fill a slot in 2024's non-conference schedule. The Falcons last visited Happy Valley in 1998. They join West Virginia as confirmed opponents for that season.
