The Nittany Lions and Pitt Panthers will face off in a primetime matchup on Sept. 8, according to Wednesday's announcement by ESPN. The game will air on ABC's Saturday Night Football. The in-state rivals are meeting for the third consecutive season as part of a four-year home and home agreement. It's likely to be one of the last chances to see this game in person, as it appears there won't be a renewal of the series after 2019 (it's fine).

So this is good news, Penn State fans. You can now enjoy a full day of ballet, museums, fine eateries, a Pirates game, and all the wonderful activities that the city of Pittsburgh has to offer before heading to Heinz Field to watch your Lions take on Pitt under the lights.

Penn State holds the advantage in the series 51-43-4. However, a Nittany Lion team has not won in Pittsburgh since a 20-13 victory back in 1998.
