Week 1 Point Spreads Released, Penn State Opens As 27-Point Favorite Over Appalachian State

Penn State has an opening-weekend matchup with Appalachian State, who has been known to surprise Big Ten teams during season openers in the past. Those in the know opened betting with the Nittany Lions as 27-point favorites for the September 1st showdown. That line has dropped to 26 points as of the time of writing this story, but the Lions are still healthy favorites heading into the first game of the 2018 season.
