There is no disputing that Penn State has a huge question mark at linebacker this fall. The only given at this point seems to be that Koa Farmer will play a lot. However, the rest of the linebacking corps got a huge piece of good news today when it was announced that Manny Bowen will be back with the Nittany Lions this fall. Bowen appeared on the Nittany Lions' Media Day roster.

Bowen was dismissed from the team for unspecified reasons prior to the Fiesta Bowl after missing the final three games of the regular season. A former four-star recruit, he had been a mainstay in the Penn State defense since his first season in 2015. The return has been rumored for months, including a cryptic Instagram post from Bowen last month.
With Farmer a lock to start at one spot, Bowen will join the likes of Cam Brown, Jan Johnson, Jake Cooper, Micah Parsons, and Jesse Luketa, among others, in trying to lock down the final two spots. With Farmer and now Bowen, Brent Pry will have two experienced players to lean on as he looks to solidify the Nittany Lions signature position.
