James Franklin's upgrades at the Lasch Football building are eye-catching and memorable for all the prospective, current, and former players who walk the halls. But perhaps the most visual representation of Franklin's family atmosphere is a feature that goes back well before his arrival, the Letterman's Wall. On Wednesday, 22 new names were enshrined with brick engravings.

While fans would undoubtedly search out big names on the wall, it's a significant nod to the contributions of each letter winner, whether record-breaking or blue-collar. Saquon Barkley, Curtis Cothran, and Jason Cabinda were just three of the Nittany Lion alumni to see their name enshrined alongside their fellow lettermen.
The buzz continues to build around Penn State's 2018 season, which kicks of Sept. 1 at 3:30 p.m. against Appalachian State.
