Trace McSorley Named Second Team AP Preseason All-American

The Associated Press released its preseason All-America team on Tuesday, and Penn State senior quarterback Trace McSorley was named as the second team quarterback. McSorley is the lone Nittany Lion to be named to either the first or second team. West Virginia quarterback Will Grier was named as the first team quarterback. This is McSorley's second preseason All-American honor, after being selected as the second team QB by CBS Sports. Grier was the first team selection there as well.

McSorley had already earned plenty of additional preseason accolades. He was named to the Maxwell Award, Davey O’Brien Award, Walter Camp Award, Manning Award and Wuerffel Trophy Watch Lists earlier this summer.
