Penn State left tackle Ryan Bates and cornerback Amani Oruwariye were named to Pro Football Focus' Team of the Week for their efforts in the Nittany Lions' marauding against Pittsburgh on Saturday.
Bates helped pave the way for the fifth consecutive 200-plus yard rushing performance by the Lions (211 yards), and anchored a unit that allowed just one sack of Trace McSorley.
Oruwariye followed up his heroics against Appalachian State by shutting down his side of the field against Pitt with three tackles, two passes defended and another interception.

He even got a special call-out by PFF during their post-game analysis. Coming off a second team All-Big Ten selection in 2017, Oruwariye is off to a torrid start in 2018.
Penn State returns to the field Saturda, Sept. 15 at home against Kent State. The noon game will be carried live by FS1.
