While projecting what the end of the season will look like after week two is arguably even sillier than preseason polls, we live in an age of information and quick reactions, thus ESPN has begun firing up their playoff predictions for the College Football Playoff.
There's also something to be said about ESPN predicting the playoff when they have such a direct tie to the playoff itself, and whether or not they should be projec- Hey, there's Penn State!

In reality, it's not surprising to see Penn State here with a 27% chance of reaching the playoff. If they are able to navigate their schedule and pick up one loss (or fewer????) then they should have a good shot to play in the conference championship game. And even if they don't, a one-loss Big Ten team that would theoretically have wins over at least three other ranked teams would have a strong case for the playoff.
The only Big Ten team with better odds is Ohio State, at 57%.
What do you think? Is 27% a fair chance for the 2-0 Nittany Lions? Weigh in below.
