They say fortune favors the bold, and if there's one thing we are here at Roar Lions Roar, it's bold. We sat down and came up with ten of our boldest takes for the 2019 season, ranging from individual accomplishments to how far this team could go.

Jake Pinegar Scores a Touchdown

Joe Lorig has worked wonders with less talent, so I can't imagine he doesn't have an idea for the former all-state safety to find the endzone on some kind of trickeration. - Matt Filipovits

Penn State Won't Give Up a Safety on a Punt

Blake Gillikin will be able to finish his final season in Happy Valley without his unit surrendering a safety. - Andrew Rubin

Sean Clifford Will Break at Least One Single-Season Passing Record

Between his natural arm talent, Penn State's crop of wide receivers (and tight ends, and pass-catching backs), Clifford will not be short on weapons. Combine that with an offense that figures to rely a bit more on the aerial attack than their QB's legs, and it's a recipe for success. - Matt de Bear

Jayson Oweh Leads the Team in Sacks

Even though he won't start at any point, he's one of the athletic defensive ends in the entire country. He could wreak havoc in a rotational role in the way AJ Epenesa did last year for Iowa. - Michael Stanley

Nittany Lions Embraces the Running Back by Committee

Penn State will have 3 backs with at least 400 yards each. - Craig Fritz

Penn State Makes an NY6 Bowl

This could be wishful thinking, but it's the only one in my mind that is feasible. Parsons at the Heisman ceremony, Slade reaching 2,000 yards, and losing to Pitt all seem so far-fetched that this is the one I will go with. Get past Iowa early and then you have the big three in the division that Penn State has to deal with. Go 2-1 in those and avoid a dumb loss and it all makes perfect sense in early August. - John Morgan

Ricky Slade Leads the Big Ten in Rushing

I know there are guys like Brown and Cain in the mix, but I love Slade’s skill set. Also, I see the run game being used early and often. - Barry Leonard

Penn State Goes 10-2 and Makes the College Football Playoff

This is the most talented team they’ve had defensively in years and the offense is supremely underrated. If they have momentum going into Ohio State, it could bode well for them in Columbus. - Jarrod Prugar

Penn State Goes into Ohio State With a Chance to Win the East

I think Clifford and the offense have all the talent to be able to put it together and score enough points against just about anyone. Couple that with a defense that could be the best Franklin has had, and I think they contend for an East title. - Kevin Fay

Micah Parsons Wins the Bednarik Award

Parsons wins the Bednarik Award after racking up 107 tackles, picking off 2 passes, accumulating 10.5 sacks, recovering 2 fumbles, and scoring 2 touchdowns (one kick return, one scoop-and-score after also forcing the fumble). All while putting his name squarely in the discussion for the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. - Nick Polak
