Another Nittany Lion will look to wrap up his collegiate career away from Happy Valley. According to a report from Sean Fitz of Lions247, running back Mark Allen has entered his name into the transfer portal. According to Fitz, Allen is seeking a waiver for a sixth season of eligibility. He missed much of the 2018 Penn State season after suffering an injury prior to the Illinois game.

Allen was a fixture as a reserve behind Saquon Barkley, and appeared to be the No. 2 in waiting behind Miles Sanders as a fifth-year senior before suffering the season ending injury. He completed his Nittany Lion career with 90 carries, 353 yards, and four touchdowns to go along with 12 receptions for 93 yards, and one more score. His final carry in the blue and white came against Kent State, and appropriately went for a touchdown.

Assuming Allen's sixth year is approved, he will be immediately eligible as a graduate transfer. A number of other Nittany Lions remain in the NCAA Transfer Portal while they pursue a transfer. The complete list can be found here, courtesy of 247Sports.
