In one of the coolest moments in the history of the Blue-White Game, walk-on wide receiver Dan Chisnea hauled in a 59-yard touchdown and was immediately rewarded with a full scholarship.
Chisnea was preferred walk-on back in 2015 after a successful high school career at Downingtown East High School. He left the team after his freshman season to join the Nittany Lion track team as a sprinter. After two years away, he returned to the gridiron last season, appearing in two games.
He earned a ton of praise for his performance this spring. With only a handful of scholarship receivers on campus, it was the perfect opportunity for Chisnea to get noticed. Known by his teammates for his blazing speed, he could become a big factor on special teams this season and potential crack the receiver rotation.
