Over four months after entering his name in the NCAA Transfer Portal, former Penn State safety Ayron Monroe has a new home. The D.C. native took to Twitter to announce he will finish his collegiate career with the Temple Owls.

Monroe came to Penn State as a three-star prospect and the No. 37 safety in the 2015 class. He redshirted his first season on campus and spent the last three seasons on special teams and as a reserve. He finishes his Nittany Lion career with 40 tackles and two passes defended in 33 games played.

Monroe was the last scholarship Nittany Lion still looking for a home in the NCAA Transfer Portal in what was an offseason full of turnover. He will be eligible immediately as a graduate transfer and has one season of eligibility remaining.
