Seniors Cam Brown, John Reid, and Blake Gillikin will join head coach James Franklin at next week's Big Ten Media Days.
Cam Brown has started 14 games through three seasons in Happy Valley, with 12 of those starts coming last season. He finished fifth on the team with 63 tackles, while also leading all linebackers with six pass breakups. He's in the running to be named one of the team's captains but will be one of the defense's leaders regardless of if he earns the title.
John Reid was one the conference's brightest young corners, starting two games as a true freshman and all 14 during the Nittany Lions' marvelous 2016 Big Ten title run. An offseason knee injury cost him the 2017 season, before returning to form for 2018. He finished the season with eight pass breakups and a pair of interceptions.
Gillikin will be a four-year starter for the Nittany Lions and has already cemented himself as one of the program's best specialists. Last year's special teams' captain, he averaged 43.95 yards per punt last season, good for second best in the Big Ten. He also served as the team's holder on field goals and extra points.
Big Ten Media Days will run from Thursday, July 18 to Friday, July 19 in Chicago.
