After appearing on the Maxwell Award watch list earlier in the week, KJ Hamler has again found his name on a major award watch list. The speedy sophomore was named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list, giving annually to the nation's top wide receiver regardless of position (receiver, tight end, slot back, running back). He is one of 50 players named to the watch list, including Big Ten brethren KJ Hill (Ohio State), Tyler Johnson (Minnesota), and Rondale Moore (Purdue).
Hamler had a breakout season last year, leading the Nittany Lions with 42 catches for 754 yards and five touchdowns. He also racked up 619 yards in the return game, with 523 of those coming on kickoff returns. He was an All-Big Ten honorable mention as both a receiver and a returner.
Just one Penn Stater has won the award since it's inception in 1994 when Bobby Engram brought it home in its debut season.
